We just arrived back to our winter home in PV and found that we have a termite problem. Can anyone recommend a good company to help us get rid of them and stop them from returning?

I'm thinking about replacing me kitchen in my condo in Mismaloya. I'd like to replace all my cabinets & install granite or marble counter tops. I'm also considering just replacing the cabinet doors/drawers, etc.

I would also like to replace fridge, stove, dishwasher & sink. Where can I get a good deal on these?

Can anyone recommend where or who I could contact to do this reno?

Can anyone recommend medical health insurance. I'm from Toronto Canada & would like to purchase annual coverage. I'm only away at the most at about 30 days per trip. What company has the best coverage & best rates?

Afternoon one and all!!

We will be arriving in Bucerias around the 1st week of November and I would like to find someone in Bucerias that is interested in becoming an exercise partner with me. Last winter - I managed to pack on the pounds...and this summer...although I worked hard at everything EXCEPT exercising - I managed to add some more weight. My goal is to go from 180 to 130/140 by the end of the winter.

I like to walk/run, but find myself lacking self motivation....

Does anyone know where to find the rules for selling a US plated car in Mexico to a Mexican? I know my car ( 2000 Subaru Outback Wagon AWD ) will fall into the 10 year old on Jan.1st. and I know Subaru dealers are sprouting up all over Mexico so I just wondered how much hassel it might be, thanks Rick

House insurance?

I did search, and found lots of topics about car and medical insurance but, what about house insurance? A friend pointed out because the majority of homes are made with concrete, in his opinion, it didn't make sense to insure against fire. Coming from Canada, I'm used to insuring contents, losses against fire, flood, earthquake and of course, liability.

Where do you get insurance like this in Vallarta? What do the other board members do? Advice, and opinions please.

I saw some in Tonala last December, but did not really find what exactly I wanted. I think that Sam's at one time had fountains. Well, as cute as our place is, we've outgrown it already. We live in an "infonavit", (quadplexes) where everyone is packed on top of one another like sardines. My living room window looks out to my neighbor's driveway. She has a roof over it, so the living room is pretty dark. What about insurance? My parents who are retired, and I have thought about the possibilty of moving down there. We all have Medi-care (I am fully disabled and receive SSDI. Will it cover expenses for medical in Mexico? My parents also have a PERS Blue sheild/cross policy, would that also work...or not?
My other question would be how is medical care for more serious issues? My Father and I both have a history of cancer. I have severe stomach problems and chronic back pain. Mom...
