Bucerias or Old Town PV

My wife and I have not been to PV for two years and we are deciding on Old Town or Bucerias? Does anyone care to comment on the nightlife in Bucerias.
Also, the last time we were there (PV) the beach had all but vanished under the vendor food tents. We are in our 60's, have been to PV several years and enjoy nighttime activities.

How does one redeem the points on the Soriana card. I've been accumulating points while shopping at Soriana and see signs of items that can be purchased at a discount with points. How do I find out the number of points I've got and how do I redeem them.

So we're headed down on the 26th of Sept., watching the weather forecasts and it looks like nothing but scattered thunderstorms and mid-90's await us for the entire week. I'm picturing us never leaving the air conditioned hotel room! Please, please, please tell me it' not THAT bad.

Hi, I booked a flight to Puerto Vallarta for September 23-30 and was planning on staying at Villa Amor in Sayulita (which I've stayed at before and loved), but have heard that a lot of the town shuts down during September and am wondering whether it makes more sense to stay in Puerto Vallarta and take a couple of day trips to Sayulita for the surfing. I'm definitely looking for something more private (the opposite of an AI), but don't want it to be desolate. Any thoughts would be...

First time in pv with family

This is my 1st post on this board, and I'd like to say thanx for the huge wealth of info here.

My family will be travelling to pv on the 9th of may. My wife and I have 3 children ages 19, 15, and 10 and are looking for activities that will satisfy most ages. We will be taking in yelapa, and an adveture tour, and are looking for a few others. Any ideas for activities for children ?

Hello all! My hubby and I have been going to PV for about 10 years now (LOVE IT). No tours/cruises since the early days for us. However, we have friends coming for a visit who ARE virgins. We are thinking about taking them on the "Rhythms of the Night" dinner cruise. For those of you who've been there/done that-thoughts? Worth it...or skip it?

A few things have been bothering me for ages so I will post them here!
Pedestrians DO NOT have the right of way here. Please watch where you cross and where you are going!
It is so NOT a good idea to wear your swim suits or for men to go without a shirt in stores or main streets. Would you dress like that at home in stores or on the streets?
Mexicans have way more manners than us gringos. Please treat them accordingly.

New to this board (and PV for that matter) but not to Mex. Our destination of choice for the last few years has been Zi however this year we are trying a new adventure. Our home is Spanish in style so I LUV to shop when I'm in Mex for 'house stuff'. Being totally unfamiliar with PV, I'm hoping for some input from the shopaholics on great places be they furniture, lighting, art, pottery, fabrics or whatever. Clothes are fine too.
