The Water Slide Park | ||

In Nuevo.
We had so much fun there ! Fun for kids, and adults. They do have some 'less challenging' slides for smaller kids. It's %50 off for residents, and FM3 holders, too. I think you get 2 adults, and two kids per FM3, or local ID (I think) Also, there is a carnival caoming July 12 to July 27th. Rides, games, the usual. It will be behind Mega. Bay Vallarta (local publication you can pick up in Hotels, the tourist office downtown, or PV Net) this week had a long article on summer 'camps' - some are just for a week or two, or a couple hours a day, only. |

Restaurants for little ones | ||
|
Outback Steakhouse is the only restaurant in this city with a supervised play area for little ones
that I know of - which is also one of the reasons why we are there every week. Tok's in Plaza Caracol has a small play area for kids.....also Chile's
in Galerias has a small play area for kids (not in Peninsula)....other than that many fast food places have kids areas (if that's what you like to eat).
Any place on the beach has also worked for my son, because he can wander and look for shells and what have you (Barracuda is a good spot, nice open beach
there)...or La Palapa or Dorado or any of that strip of places....
Activities: Seal Life water park...very fun day trip. You can do Chucky Cheese also with them. Any and all beach activities. Horseback riding (they will probably need to sit with adults). Go to Sayulita....a million times more children and young parents over there than in PV from my experience, nice shallow waves so the little ones can go in without much risk. Go to Piccolo Mundo in Plaza Caracol...fairly cool spot to go for a few hours, lots of activities and things just for kids (the whole place is built for children). That's a good start.... |

My grandkids live here in Vallarta so I am always looking for something different to do. You can only go to the beach-pool so much. PicoloMundo at Plaza
Caracol is a great place. Chucky Cheese they love (take earplugs). The Zoo, south of Mismaloya is good as is Chico's and Chino's Paradise. Botanical
Gardens is gorgeous. The Malecon in the evenings rocks. My grandkids love to go to Hard Rock Cafe (early evenings) and Carlos O'Brians - when we are
looking for something different. Sometimes we just go for desserts. Bubba Gump is a good place for kids as well. Splash is fun - and cool as mentioned above.
Los Mangos Library has story hour on Saturdays at noon (Spanish) but they have loads of English books in the children's section - a fabulous place that
EVERYONE should go to now and then! Movies are a great getaway but all kids movies will be in Spanish. (We just saw Wall-E - FABULOUS flick!). They love to go
on the train that runs through Plaza Caracol - a couple of great kids educational toy shops as well. McDonalds! Enjoy your time with them!
