Wednesday was basically a do nothing day. After we had been gone all day on the pirate adventure the day before it was nice to have nothing planned to do. We started out with coffee and muffins/donuts/pastries on our balcony. Again, it was a little chilly and I had to put on a sweater. I sat out there afterwards and made salsa and guacamole because Sue and Harold and Sue's parents were going to come over in the afternoon.
We were all down to the pool around 10:00 a.m. The boys were happy -
they had gotten the lap top hook up to the wireless connection in the lobby. Kyli was happy - she was in the pool with
her daddy. My mom and Ashlenn were happy - they were lying in the sun reading books.
My dad and I decided to sit under a poolside palapa and play cribbage. Soon, Eduardo came by and wanted to know
if we needed drinks. Sure, it was almost 10:30 a.m. - BRING US SOME MARGARITAS.
He brought them and the mix was ok but you sure couldn't taste much tequila. We had a bottle of tequila up in the
room so I went up and filled a 12 oz. plastic cup up and brought it down to "fix up" the margaritas. After
those margaritas we had a couple more and I again made a trip to the room. By 2:00 p.m. when Sue and Harold arrived I
was so stinking drunk it wasn't even funny!! I can't report much on the rest of the day because I don't
remember it. (Maybe they can add to my trip report) We hung out around the pool and then decided to do dinner out on
our balcony. Harold drove Kevin and me over to Gigante and we picked up a bunch of roasted chickens, potatoes, and
tacos to go along with the salsa and guacamole. Not a real rounded meal but super yummy none the less. Sue, Harold and the parents left not too long after dinner. I was really bummed that this
was our only visit with Sue and Harold because Kevin and I usually spend a lot of time with them out in Bucerias. I
have since apologized to Sue for my high level of intoxication during their visit and she said I was great fun as usual and my dad was pretty funny too -
couldn't walk a straight line if he tried. Yeah, well still, I would have liked to have maintained a bit better!
My wonderful husband just celebrated 21 years of sobriety. I will never know how he deals with me but I guess opposites do attract. These are the only two
pictures I have of the whole day! This first one is my standard. I always end up with a picture of Kevin and Harold sitting poolside, under a palapa and they
are no doubt solving the problems of the world. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/SPrestegard/100_2020.jpg
and then in this one, I'm sure there was something naughty going on. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/SPrestegard/100_2022.jpg
There had been some sort of fiesta dinner show being put on out to the left off our balcony. After the entertainment was over, they opened up the dance floor to everyone and then the fun began. We had so much fun watching a couple of the guys dancing. However, it's hard to listen to 70's music without bustin' a move so we started dancing too. The music was so loud we could have invited everyone up on our balcony. Who can't resist the YMCA? I must have danced for 2 hours - most of that time with myself. Ashlenn has me on video getting down to Burn Baby Burn that she's threatening to put on Youtube. Since she wants to keep the BMW we just bought her for her 16th birthday, it shouldn't be surfacing anytime soon! It was another day in paradise nonetheless.
