Hi All,
I didn't make it back in April...life gets in the way of plans! However, I'm thinking I might like to try a week of summer in Yelapa, thinking in terms of eventually making Yelapa home for the rest of my life someday! Yes, I've been in PV in August, so I'm not expecting "balmy" weather! <grin> Brad, I have a question for you....where would be a CHEAP place for a week in the summer that's close to the water?

I have two great options...our casita palapita...sits right below Casa del Sol and right off the water of the cove.
It 's perfect for one or two and has all...35 usd per night Yelapa Oasis has hostel style private rooms only 25 usd per night...

That sounds great, but it looks like summer in Yelapa isn't happening for me! Lots of good things going on (you wouldn't BELIEVE!) and it's looking like October and higher rates may be in store for me in paradise. But I'm comin' back, that's for sure! I'm thinking that new little place you showed me by your office would be just right. But I'll have to wait till later in the year. I'm heading for California in three weeks for a once in a lifetime date with a celebrity! So, I think you can see that Yelapa is gonna have to wait a couple of months! <grin> I'll e-mail you privately about the "date", if you want.

Maybe Wayne has a date with Salma Hyak now that she's broken up with her billionaire French boyfriend. If I'm right, be careful you don't step on her Wayne. She's shorter than the line to the Hummer dealership and with gas prices being what they are that means nobody's in that line.

I didn't e-mail Brad because he didn't ask me to.

I should have said "minor celebrity". If any of you watch the Big Brother reality show and saw last season, you'll know who it is. She was a Penthouse Pet in the early 80's and was the Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1983. She has done modelling and acting in minor roles since then. She went on the Big Brother show to promote her book, "No One's Pet" and to hopefully win half a million dollars. She made it to the final three, having been in the "house" for 3 months, competing against 15 other folks, all under the age of 30. She turned 46 while in the "house". She is a single mom, with a 17 year old son. Anyone know her?

My trip to El Ay is postponed for right now. Too many things to attend to with my brother's surgery coming up and all that. So, Sheila told me she'd wait for me.

Looks now like it'll be in February. Some friends' daughter, Tara, wants to go with me to Yelapa in February. She lived in Merida for a couple of years when in college and has wanted to go back since the day she landed back in the US! She also speaks fluent Spanish which will help ME a LOT! So, what I'm thinking now is that I can go out to California a few days before, keep a VERY belated date with Sheila and then meet up with Tara in Puerto Vallarta and head on down to Yelapa. Sounds like a plan to ME!
