Are red and/or yellow lentils sold here? The brown ones are readily available and I found green split peas at Walmart (as much as I'm ashamed to admit I
went there but that's another conversation) but haven't see red or yellow lentils.

Sometimes Rizo's has them in the imported section. I'll look when I go there and let you know. Most imported things do disappear in the summer when
most stores hold back on buying the gringo items for a few months. Although, I did notice Walmart had a Thai table recently. Not nearly as good as the stuff
Mega brought in though.

I loved it when Mega had all that Thai food. Such a strange and pleasant surprise.
Hmm, I didn't even look in that section at Rizo. I keep looking where all the beans are in the stores thinking if brown lentils are so available and popular, surely there must be red and yellow lentils too. |

Be sure to check there as Rizo's sometimes buys grains/beans/seeds/spices in bulk and re-packages it and you'll find them there. A while back they had
re-packaged wild rice that was a great value! I also bought polenta that way, about 1/10 of the cardboard boxed polenta they sell. This is how I buy my tapioca
also...whenthey have it.

Rizo's has imported red and green lentils, organic. They are about 60 pesos a bag- pretty spendy. Check the "organic" section they have in the
front across from the vanilla and honey. (They've moved things around)

Thanks Brenda! You are the shopping expert! Yeah, really pricey but maybe worth it to buy a bag and try to cook something different. I'm trying to
motivate to cook more...
